Yoga is a salve to soothe the nervous system, as well as address areas of tightness and restriction for greater well-being. Stress is a 21st century health epidemic, and the antidote to stress is relaxation. This workshop is designed to pinpoint and open areas of tightness, and to invoke the relaxation response so the body is calmed and healed.  

Dates and Times: May 15-17, 2020

Friday, May 15th: 6-8pm

~Total Restore~
Gentle spinal and joint movements, followed by long held, fully supportive restorative poses to rest and open the body. This class is the perfect unwinding for a week’s end, and will also include breathing techniques and meditation.

Saturday, May 16th: 2-4pm

~Lower Back / Hip Clinic~
Learn specific postural techniques, clear actions, and therapeutic resting poses to open, strengthen, and heal the lower back and hips. A tonic for those with tightness or injuries. Plus, we’ll discuss the detriment of sitting and poor posture, and how yoga helps.

Sunday, May 17th: 2-4pm

~Upper Body Clinic~
Practice dynamic shoulder and arm exercises to free up the thoracic spine and improve posture. The thoracic spine tends to stiffen with age, and restrict movement and breathing. This session also includes therapeutic resting poses for upper body, breathing techniques and discussion on lung and heart health.


$45 / session; $120 full weekend
